Welcome to our homepage. We appreciate your interest in our intercultural education and sports project „Auf Ballhöhe“.

Already since 2004 we organize and support various projects in and around Cape Town. In the first few years, our main priority was participating at the Metropolitan Premier Cup in Cape Town (www.premiercup-bayhill.co.za), the largest youth football tournament on the African continent. Each year we organized a trip for young players and referees who represented us at the tournament, with the aim of giving them intercultural experience and establishing German - South-African friendships.

By now, we are also actively involved in various local social projects. We provide expertise in the form of football coaches, teachers or craftsmen and send volunteers to help local initiatives ‘on the ground’. Over the years, this has created a large network and brought us into close contact with lots of other projects in South Africa as well as in Namibia and in the USA, more recently.

By participating in our project, the young volunteers, craftsmen and coaches are offered the opportunity of gaining intercultural experience and to broaden their horizon. The experiences they make and the resulting intercultural sensitivity they gain will then have a positive impact far beyond the scope of the project, benefitting their relative domestic community.
