Preview 2009

In the course of the project the U-19 soccer team of DSC Arminia Bielefeld will travel to South Africa from 03/31 to 04/14/2009 and compete in the Metropolitan Premier Cup, at Capetown.

Competing in this uniquely multicultural tournament is only one part of the program organised by "Auf Ballhöhe". The group will also play friendlies and do soccer practice in a township, visit a township kindergarden and the SOS-Children's Village at Thornton/Capetown. The new Coach-The-Teacher program, where teachers will be tought to coach soccer, is supported by the KfW-Bank. The participants will thus have plenty of opporunities to spend time with young South Africans, make friends and learn from and about each other.  An experience that will make them "intercultural ambassadors" in their communities back home.
